There is a list of chapters, questions from that are only asked in JEE Main and hence they are called JEE Main Topics. Yes.  He was my friend's friend and his name was  Hari Krishna.  Though I don't know him personally but I have heard about him from my friend quite a few times. Some Important Advice 1. I’ll recommend you spend most of your time on self-study. Please leave each and every social media platform till your selection in JEE (Main or Advanced). First of all, according to your question, you mean that can someone study in a college and still appear for JEE Advanced as a dropper student and get a seat in any IIT based on his/her rank? So the answer to your question is Yes. According to the eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced, which is the only way to get into the IITs, one can appear for JEE Advanced and can get a seat in any IIT based on his/her rank  only if he had not taken a seat in any of the 23 IITs previously  subject to fulfilling the other eligibility criteria apart from this.
